At least for some of you. Right now it’s raining outside and I don’t have a car to pick up a copy of the game for at least five hours. Does anyone know if there is a grace period that will allow pre-boarding players to continue playing a day or two after release while we wait for our retail copies of the game? I sure hope so or I’ll be sitting here rather bored all day long.
Hmm… maybe I’ll just buy a copy off the Station Store and eat the best buy pre-order… That might work.
Oh well, enjoy the launch and hopefully I’ll see you all there soon.
*UPDATE 1*: Hah! Rev posted an update that buys me another hour at least.
“Our launch is delayed until at least 10 a.m. Pacific time due to an issue with SOE’s LaunchPad. Our friends at SOE are debugging an issue they discovered during final testing and they expect to have it resolved, tested, and live within the hour.
We’re really sorry for this delay but are at least pleased that the issue was discovered internally before all of you hit it instead!”
Come on Rev just 4 more delays buddy.
*UPDATE 2*: There is no grace period. Have to buy the game to log in now. Commence hitting head against desk!

Blackbeard here. Hopefully Pirates don’t suck at end game. Like you, I spend a lot of time worrying the decision I’ve made are going to come back and haunt you. Unlike you, I seem to think they will and reroll constantly.
