Fridays are a big day for Age of Conan hopefuls. It’s the day that Funcom traditionally releases information on what they’ve been working on or just something cool for the community to drool over. This Friday keeps with tradition by delivering screenshots of spell effects in Age of Conan. I am very impressed.
According to Funcom this is the latest build for Age of Conan. Sheesh… System Reqs Lab said I could run this game just fine but I’m starting to wonder. This looks better than any other game out there and I just hope I can run it. Since I know the procedure with press release shots I know these are doctored up a bit but it’s still impressive. The snake spell/summon or whatever it is looks awesome. The degree of knockback sending that guy flying is something I’ve always hoped would be improved upon in a mmorpg and if these screenshots are any indication then it has.
I might have to rethink my melee class decision now… a Demonologist might be fun.
Graphics on that game are extremely sharp but now that i’ve read your last article, They look like the kind of graphics that might not age well.
I am thinking abot playing a Herald of Xotli or Tempest of Set. The caster classes sound like a lot of fun in this game.
I suspect Keen, that you’ll be fine on your card come launch day… at low to mid settings though.
I cannot recommend EVGA’s Nvidia 9600GT Superclocked enough though. It’s only 169 at Newegg if you’re at all in the market for an upgrade.
I’m on a 7950gt… I hope I dont have to play at low… I’ll be pissed. Probably won’t get the game if I have to upgrade for it.

As far as I know 7950gt is a pretty powerful card even if outdated, it should run on medium or higher depending on the resolution (I think).
