For the first time in years I got the Christmas lights up on the house on the day after Thanksgiving. Usually it takes me weeks of 
procrastinating to get them up but this year I decided to just bite the bullet and get them up early. Okay, the real reason I’m early this year is because that darn neighbor started putting his up. You know that neighbor who always has the perfect lawn, cars that are always waxed, and has no oil stains on his driveway… yeah that neighbor. This year I thought things would be easier. We picked up an electric staple gun thinking it would be a real quick process… you know… click click click all done kinda deal. Buuuut we were out of staples. So we go to Lowes and pick up some staples. Back at home I get on the ladder and suddenly these gale force winds come out of nowhere. Struggling to hold the lights up I now have to deal with this staple gun that requires a safety tab to be pushed in before it will fire. So I’m trying to line this thing up, hold the lights, balance against the wind, and yeah… it sucked.
Eventually I got all the lights up, broke a couple, the staple gun stopped working on the very last light, and we still haven’t thrown out the pumpkins on the porch from Halloween… but I’m exhausted.
PS. Graev was inside playing Mass Effect while I was doing all of this. *Shakes fist*
