What are you looking forward to?

Tonight’s topic is pretty simple: What are you looking forward to?

Is there a particular game or a list of games coming out that you want to play? Maybe some hardware or a peripheral? What has you excited, and what holds a place on your coveted ‘can’t wait’ list?

These can be coming soon, already out and on your play list, or even barely on the horizon. No limits!

I have a few to kick things off:

  • Sea of Thieves
  • Anthem
  • Monster Hunter World
  • The Ezio Collection (Xmas) (going to replay on PS4 with my wife so she can experience the best of Assassin’s Creed)
  • Skyrim for Switch (Xmas) (Again, to experience with my wife and because you ain’t lived until you’ve played Skyrim in the bathroom)
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • Red Dead Redemption 1
  • Camelot Unchained

Share what you’re looking forward to in case some of us are missing something awesome on our list.

  • My wife already spoiled Christmas for me, and told me she’s getting me a Switch. So, I’m looking forward to Zelda, Mario, and Splatoon 2.

Once Christmas is over and the family bank account has re-stabalized (so probably Feb. or March), I’ve also gotten permission to build a Retropie. Really looking forward to that.

MMO wise, I’m anxiously awaiting Camelot Unchained. Other MMOs I’m keeping on eye on are Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, City of Titans / Ship of Heroes (whichever one looks like the better game), and maybe Crowfall.

  • I’m looking forward to having more time free in the New Year to play more of the MMOs I’m already enjoying. I’m fully satisfied with the range on offer and, while I wouldn’t turn down the chance to play a good, new MMO I don’t feel the need for one right now.

It’s just as well because I don’t see anything of interest that’s due to go into open access of any kind, let alone full launch, this side of 2019 and probably not much even then.

  • For me, right now it’s pretty much only MH World. I honestly haven’t seen excited for a MH like this in a long time. I have been waiting for another MH on a non-handheld since 3U on the wii-U, and while i’ve played all the english releases I have not enjoyed any of them nearly as much as 3U. I’ve come to the conclusion that I just really don’t like handheld games, at least 3DS or even the XL size as they hurt my hands too much.

From the beta it seems like this one is going to be any better and I am looking forward to playing more this weekend despite knowing it’s still the same 3 quests as I spent about 20 hours in the last beta and never tried Rathalos or Diablos which I want to do this time.

Other than that, I don’t think I have much on the horizon for myself in 2018.

  • Camelot Unchained
but i have a feeling that i’m gonna be able to copy/paste this around Christmas 2018.
    Although, from MJ’s massivelyOP interview:
“I’d say soon, but frankly, I wouldn’t believe myself given the length of this delay so I’ll simply say that by the end of January, we will be talking about a bunch of stuff.

Thanks for checking up on us every so often. That’s better than we deserve right now.”
    So fingers crossed.

  • Skyrim for VR 🙂 I hear it’s absolutely amazing!
I’m still patiently waiting for WILD…
We’ll most likely get a Switch next year and have tons of fun playing Breath of the Wild. 🙂
For now, I hope I get Horizon Zero Dawn for Christmas! ^_^

    • I finally have Graev’s copy pf Horizon and I’m ready to play it. He liked it a lot, and I’ve heard great things from friends.

  • Just a quick question – how can you be looking forward to something (like Sea of Thieves) when you’re already playing it all the time per previous posts? 🙂

    • I see you left it wide open so I withdraw my question. 🙂 For me, not a lot I am looking forward to – maybe playing some of the many games I have bought but not played.

    • Technically not playing all the time since they’re only open for play sessions at specific times which are usually pretty short. Graev has been in the alpha for over a year, and I just got in a little bit ago.

It’s definitely still an alpha, though. I’m excited to play the full release and have something I can play without thinking, “man this is all going to go away at launch!”
