I saw this and thought I'd share beacuse I think it's super cool. Paradox Interactive is turning some of their video game IPs into board games!
"It just got to the point where it became so abundantly clear that there [were] so many cool opportunities. People were coming to us in droves asking if we could make board games. We looked at that and said this is a a really cool way not necessarily to make tons and tons of money... But to expand what our IPs are and how people play them."
There's currently a Kickstarter for Crusader Kings, a grand strategy board game of rival kings and dynasties in medieval Europe, based on the acclaimed computer game Crusader Kings.
That looks REALLY Cool.
There are loads of video games that I would like to see converted into board games. Over the past few years I've grown more and more interested in table top and board gaming, as it's just another neat way to enjoy 'games' and use my imagination. In fact, I find board games often provide even more immersion than games due to games leaving less and less to the imagination.
Hopefully this encourages many developers to look into the idea of converting games.
