Nintendo’s newest console releases TOMORROW! Graev’s console shipped and mine is still in its “preparing to ship” status. I’m a little worried, but hopeful that I’ll get it tomorrow as promised.
We’re going to have A LOT of Nintendo Switch coverage here on the blog. We’re huge Nintendo fans, and the games coming out are right up our alley. I have been saying it repeatedly that this is Nintendo’s to lose at this point. Graev quickly reminds me that their only release title is technically Breath of the Wild. Â Graev also points out that right this is only a really expensive Zelda machine. All true, thus far.
I love that the Switch is getting a lot of indie attention — in fact, they’re being dubbed “Nindies”. Â Here’s a look at the indie titles coming to the Switch soon:

Would love to get one if Nintendo could figure out how to let me buy one. Never understood this from them. I still would like to get a Nintendo Class, but its been out for nearly 4 months and still have not side hide nor hair of one.
I suspect it will be a few months at least before I can get my hands on a Switch, as apparently I am not very good at waiting in long lines or getting onto a website during the 15 seconds that pre-orders are available. How did you get yours?
Graev managed to snag a NES Classic and sold it to me. 😛
I got lucky in the 15 seconds Best Buy had some in stock. Graev snagged his on Amazon during their first wave. I’ll never understand the scarcity myself.
Switch will have scarcity as well.. i went to gamestop today and they told me they don’t expect to have any for sale on the shelves for months.. all back ordered.
I’m definitely going to be getting one. I’ve been toying with the idea of selling my Wii U to offset the cost slightly. Out of all the Nintendo consoles (I’ve had them all, Nintendo fanboy, guilty), I really haven’t gotten much use out of the Wii U. There just weren’t enough games to pique my interest. Even Smash, MarioKart, and Mario Party weren’t enough to end up justifying it. My PS3 ended up getting more use just because of NetFlix, my 3DS with a ton of games, and my Steam Link has party games covered. Also, the capabilities of the hand-held portion always seemed terribly underused. I hope this is resolved with the Switch. Heck, if the Switch ends up having NetFlix capability in the future, I’d probably closet my PS3 too.
