The Number of the Day is 2!

I have been inundated with games containing the number 2: Guild Wars 2, Borderlands 2, Torchlight 2, and Planetside 2.  I need to apologize for the lack of content over the past few days because I have been trying to put in extra hours at work before my time there ends, and I’ve been playing the aforementioned games as much as possible, leaving me little time to write.

In GW2 I am playing a Guardian alt and really enjoying the class and my experience through the world of Tyria for a second time.  I’m trying my hardest to only play through zones that I haven’t been to on my Ranger, as well as forcing myself to 100% every zone I step into before going on to the next.

I took this screenshot in Kessex Hills. Although I found the zone a pain to progress in, the scenery is beautiful.

Borderlands 2 has been a lot of fun.  Graev and I are playing co-op on the Xbox 360.  He’s the Gunzerker and I am a Commando.  We plan to write up our thoughts on the game more thoroughly once we get further in, but I will say we’re having a good time.

Torchlight 2 pretty much launhced today, and I only put in a few minutes.  There’s something incredibly pleasing about the graphics.  Nothing new there, though, since you all know I love highly stylized graphics over the realism any day.  Once again, more thoughts to come.

I’m looking forward to a great weekend of gaming and blogging.  So many good games it’s hard to decide where to allocate my time.  #FirstWorldProblems

  • So many great games comming out. I really wish they would spread them a bit more over the year, ’cause with a full time job and a wife, it can be hard to play them all. I have bought all three games, but so far i’m only playing GW2. Still having alot of fun, and I’ve never been good at playing multiple games at once. I tend to play one game, until i’m bored and then move on to another. I’m glad to hear that Borderlands 2 seems to be living up to all the hype! The same with torchlight 2.

  • mine time is limited with work as well, I have picked up GW2 and Skyrim, they are the
last games ive bought at full price, by the time I get around to playing the rest they are usually available on steam sales

  • Torchlight 2 is everything fun that I thought was going to be in D3, iterated and made even more fun, on top of removing the suck from both T1 and D3 (linear cooridor dungeons are the exception, not the main game). So many good bullet points I wish I had a blog myself to note the positive differences T2 makes in this genre of game.

  • @copptertopper: I agree, Copper. I’m going to write up my thoughts on Torchlight 2 soon but they are very similar to yours.
