Let the good times roll!

I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m slowly making a come back in PotBS… I think.Today was the turning point for me in Pirates of the Burning Sea. Up until now I wasn’t involved with the economy at all. I was losing ships and losing money at a rate that was unmanageable by questing or looting convoys. Living the life of an aggressive PvPing Pirate isn’t cheap and it took a devastating kick in the face to realize it. Today I turned my first profit ever. I spent three hours getting myself set up economically to produce Brass Ship Fittings, Brass Ingots, and Zinc Ore – three highly sought after higher level resources and manufactured goods. I decided that in order to survive and turn a quick profit I needed to pick a market that might deter all but the “hardcore” players. I chose a very expensive startup production line but I believe it will pay out in the long run.

As I said earlier I turned my first profit today. I have assumed the role of Brass Ship Fittings supplier for a ship production group. I made my first transaction today and made about 2,000 dubloons profit which I immediately turned and reinvested in my business. Good times! The blog entry before this details the advertisement I have placed on the Marketplace boards on the Rackham server. Hopefully I’ll find a few more needy ship makers who will buy up my stock… one can hope.

Getting back on my feet money-wise wasn’t the only great thing that happened today. The ‘crew’ I sail with did a fantastic job today of lowering contention and sinking enemy national players. I lost track after 18 but I believe we ended the night with a tally of about 25 players sunk. Total number of ships I lost: 0. Yep, that’s a fantastic ratio imo. I played tackler for my team in the last ship I had left, my Hermes MC. Although it’s slower than the Hermes Sleek and sporting outdated upgrades it still got the job done most the time. The highlight of my night was definitely going 3v6 and sinking 5 of them (that annoying locust MC got away!).

The only place I can go is up.
