Yeah, it’s real – unfortunately. People have reported seeing these commercials on TV already. There were also a few WoW references in Stargate Atlantis on Friday. What is happening to this world?!

I say, let the mainstream roll. I want these games to make it from WoW being the only frame of reference to the term MMORPG being as household as Nintendo or Playstation. The only way for that to happen is for them to continue get mainstream exposure.
WoW also made an appearance in the pilot episode of “The Big Bang Theory” although they did not actually mention the game by name.
Hadn’t seen Big Bang Theory but last Friday I saw the second episode of Moonlight, that new vampire series. The vampire fellow was talking about the perks of not aging and all the neat things we have now compared to ages ago. He rattled off about three things he would have missed out on if he weren’t a vampire and one of those things was World of Warcraft. I couldn’t help but actually laugh out loud.
Hahah. Not a fan of WoW, but I must admit I kinda liked that. I think we should definitely have some EQ2 and LotRO ones now…come on you advertising gurus…get working!
lol, awesome. I’m sure gamers get more of a laugh out of it, but I think some non-gamers I know would dig it.
The ad played during the LSU football game, and I thought it was a wonderful thing. My friends and family came one step closer to seeing my hobby as being just as normal as playing checkers or poker.
I saw that WoW “ad” in Big Bang Theory and it was kinda funny because it was this ULTRA techy geek hitting on this hot blonde and showing her his character and asking if she would like to group some time.
Yes WoW has found the mainstream pulse and tapped right into it.
