So I am an Explorer and Strategist-Supporter

I took the Bartle test again yesterday after taking it first a few years ago.  I have no idea what I scored when I originally took the test but I seem to recall it being very similar to what I tested now.  According to the test I scored as an “Explorer EASK”.  Here’s what they have to say about EASK: “EASK players often live by the phrase ‘The journey is often more enjoyable than the destination.’ They are motivated by meeting the challenges of the world, but they are usually in no rush–because seeing the creatures and places of the world is even more fun.” That’s dead on!  I’ve always supported the journey being more enjoyable than the destination in many MMORPG’s out there.  I love to enter a dungeon and see it for the first time.  I love taking out a boss for the first time and having it feel like an accomplishment (makes me wonder why I didn’t score more as an achiever…).

For a bit more insight into my playstyle I took a gameplay survey.  This one hit the nail on the head! According to the test I am the “Quarterback”: “You enjoy figuring out the best means of winning in a situation, and you’re ready to take on the harder or more obscure jobs to make sure that your plan comes together. You might not be out in front all the time, but you enjoy the recognition that comes with being the bedrock of a team. You’ll often be the one calling the tactical shots in the middle of an encounter.”  That’s a dead ringer for my play style.  I love being the support roles that don’t have one single defined role.  I want to be an asset to my team and if need be I will take over and call the shots.

In my mind this just confirms my future choice for playing a Shaman in Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.  I want to play a little Goblin Shaman and run around the battlefield supporting my fellow Greenskins as we conquer the races of Order.  I love healing as long as I have some ability to deal damage or be of some offensive use.  I’m looking forward to having one hell of a WAAAGH!
