UGH! Right now it’s a rumor but according to some lucky people another wave of invites has gone out and I am not in it. 🙁 That’s cool though because the second best thing to a WAR Beta invite is getting to watch new WAR related movies! If you haven’t already seen these then you’re slacking. IGN has a few new movies up for download with game footage and witty banter between Jeff Hickman and Paul Barnett that is sure to entertain.
Paul Barnett has once again swept me off my feet with talk of Realm pride. That’s right folks WAR isn’t going to bring you just regular old PVP… you’re getting the total RVR experience. While watching a Shaman fighting Dwarves and being shot out of a cannon (coolest thing I have ever seen) Paul and Jeff provide hilarious back and forth commentary while wearing the coolest over sized white sunglasses on the market. Paul sums up realm pride nicely: (and I have summarized it further.) When you siege a city you want to not only burn it to the ground but you want to take their king out throw stones at him, cut off his head and show it to the rest of your realm and know you’re the best. You want to show it off and say to all the losers “I am better than you!”. That’s what I’m talkin’ about Paul! Finally something worth fighting for! I was laughing uncontrollably when Paul used Germany as an example. “Do you think the Germans ever recovered after WWII? NO! Why? Because the American’s won! They (the German’s) lost!”
The wait for WAR is killing me! But what doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger… strong enough to bring down upon my enemies the greatest WAAAAAGHHH!! they have ever seen!

I watched the one with the newbie dwarf running around shooting things and dropping barrels when it hit me… dear Lord I’m going to end up a dwarf again. What is it with me and the bearded folk?
Watching the goblin shoot out of the cannon brought a tear to my eye.
