Update on the LOTRO name changes

It has been said by Patience that when someone’s name is changed the name will change on not only your friends list but the ignore list as well.  This solves any and all problems that I can think up and it really makes me glad to know that Turbine is offering a potentially superb service for so cheap while still focusing on keeping it in line with what the players want and need.

Thank you Turbine!

  • I’m surprised and pleased to see Turbine really thinking ahead with some of the things they’re doing like this. They seem to have learned a lot from WoW’s experiences with regards to such issues.

  • They’ve learned a lot, period, over their years in this industry. People rip on those poor guys for AC2, and DDO… but I’ve got nothing but good stuff to say about them from my experience. Listening and thinking about the player-base is a quality not often part of your average MMO company.

  • Agreed. They are definitely making up for AC2 and DDO this time around. That’s one of the added benefits of making mistakes – you learn from them if you’re smart.

    @ Heather – I love your blog! 🙂

  • Yeah, I was kind of disappointed in DDO. It seemed as though, in trying to create some sort of prototypical D&D “experience,” instead they created a stereotypical one. Oops. Not so much fun there.

Keen–thanks! It’s a bit schizophrenic in posting topic, but well, I have the attention span of a flea on crack. 😉
