I think I'd rather play Rift and get into it than WoW right now.  Honestly, the only part of WoW I'm interested in is some story.  If they can get the Burning Legion story and any conclusion to WoW story done right I'll play -- same reason I played Heart of the Swarm.

My biggest gripe with card games is always the cost.  Otherwise this, like many others TCGs, looks awesome.

I'm hoping that there will be a market for leveled up cards, so you might be able to trade for things you want.

Yeah, hopefully there will be an active market of trading and selling stuff on the AH for in-game currencies so that the players who just want to stay Free to Play can get decent decks going and what not.

I'm probably going to be throwing down atleast $65 next week to back this. I'm actually considering the $120 tier (missed the $90 early bird, wish I had found out about this sooner!). I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this.

Also I found some videos on their youtube account that give a more indepth look at what they're setting out to do. Sounds promising:

I don't actually remember seeing anything about what the cost is going to be, whether it's going to be subcription based or if you have to buy all your cards from the shop with real money. One of the stretch goals was a VIP program (just $4 a month apparently), so I guess it'll be a cash shop for buying new packs and whatnot. It'd be nice if all the cards are possible to obtain with in-game currency though.

As much as I don't like the idea of paying for digital cards as if they were real, I think Cryptozoic will do a really good job with the game. Their board and card games are all a lot of fun, and I really loved the WoW TCG back when I used to play it. I'm seriously considering dropping some money for one of the $65-$120 tiers, just because it seems like there is a lot of bang for your buck. Guess I have 20 days to decide though...

I randomly created a character on Wolfsbane because I know a few people in a guild there, but if there's going to be a smaller group from K&G on Faeblight I'd use the free transfer to pop over there instead.

yeah i was trying to pick a high pop server and people say there isnt much world pvp on the pvp server anyway

can free transfer once a week so not a big deal to be honest
