SWG Character Builder
« on: March 18, 2013, 04:19:24 PM »
http://www.swgcharacterbuilder.com/swg-cb.php

You have a pool of 250 skill points that can be allocated anywhere you want.  Those skill points require experience earned in a skill in order to be spent.  If I want to learn new pistol abilities and spend my skill points in pistols then I have to go out and use a pistol.  When I have accrued enough pistol experience, I can allocate that experience to a skill (a box on the trees) and spend a number of my skill points.  Progressing up a tree will allow you to specialize further.  Example: Bounty Hunter requires Master Marksman and Exploration IV (far left Scout tree).

If I want to unlearn something I can reclaim my skill points, but I lose the experience.  So the only thing you lose is the time you spent firing your pistol to earn the experience in order to qualify for spending one of your points.

It's the best skill system of any game I have ever played, and it makes for some awesome customization.

Makes me want to code my own calculator.  This is nice but lets be honest, its a little hurting for 2013.

I know barely any javascript or html but it would be a good project to learn with

There's one on the patcher you can check out.

If you want to develop one that actually works well, I'll host it.

I'll see what i can do.  I'm pretty good at coding but like I said I have zero experience in the web development languages.
