Going with Haven.

I think I like it more because it seems more representative of the idea that we're a community of friends that like to game together.

In the first pole I was one of the few that voted for Tyrian Wayfarers. It's lore friendly.

I second barts thought and i personaly just don't like kgc as a guild name, tag is completly fine tho. +1 for Haven

No one outside the guild will ever actually see the guild name, in game. They only see the tag in brackets.

I agree with Tux's comment below:

Keen and Graev's Community

Tag: KGC

If not the full name atleast the tag.

I'm a logical person, the url is keenandgraev.com, the banner says Keen and Graev's Gaming Community.  A guild named Keen and Graev's Community implies ownership to the community not Keen and Graev.  It's the communities guild that happens to be the community of a particular blog that belongs to Keen and Graev.

A couple of people have expressed concern that naming ourselves "Keen and Graev's Community" implies a groupie, fanclub, or otherwise less than "community" status upon whoever (or is it whomever?) has the tag.  While I hope that everyone who is here is a fan of the the work we put into the blog, I never want anyone to feel demeaned by the name or uncomfortable by it.

Our community here [...]

Exactly, KGC IS a community.  The name Haven doesn't make us any more of a community.  If anything, using any other name than KGC would be like distancing the guild from this site and it's forum.  Why would you want to do that?

Again, KGC, or [KGC] (insert whatever other people feel we need to have).  Anything without at least the tag KGC simply detracts from the fact that KGC IS a community and I will simply disagree with it.  Also, it could be just me, but I feel KGC is an extremely identifiable tag.

[KGC] Haven also sounds good. It covers both areas well.

[KGC]Keen and Graev's Community

I am not opposed to Haven with the Tag of KGC. I just look at the top of this page where it says "Keen and Graev's Community" and that's why I am here. Been reading your blog for so long and then I notice there is a community of like minded individuals here. Seems to fit IMO.

KGC Haven sounds like a good balance, I was wraking my brains with Havens tag, and it kept coming back to the HAVs (and have nots?)

I just saw a guild named Haven during today's stress test.

If we can't get the name Haven, we'll be going with Keen and Graev's Community.  KGC tag regardless.

I won't be able to log in and grab the name, so one of you will have to do it.  We'll talk more.

According to GW2 wiki, anyone can create a guild directly from the guild pane in the menu. There is no need to visit one of the Guild Register NPCs in the cities. It only costs 1 silver, which you can get in a few minutes of playing. Or, with mail being instantaneous, we could probably get one person 1 silver really fast. I'd be surprised if it took 15 minutes once in-game.

I think several of us are going to be camping out 3 hours before the headstart officially begins, since ANet mentioned today that servers could be up anytime during that period. We'll get it!

Yeah since they might start early I'm just going to stay up that night to get my name and might play a bit depending on what time it is.
