A little introduction

Hello guys,

My name is Cacheelma and I'm from Thailand. I used to be a big fan of Guild Wars before the game's core philosophy got changed and all the debacles that came with it made me lose interest/trust/whatever in the game and Arenanet as a company (long story).

I have been quite skeptical with GW2 from the beginning. But I must admit that they've tried to make something different. And maybe I still believe in Arenanet (or maybe I was too bored) enough to pre-purchase the game just to play the BWE3. I wasn't disappointed, to say the least. And I'm looking forward to the release day now, something I never thought I'd do.

I've been following Keen and Graev's blog for quite some time now. I like how mature the community is and how the community can be objective enough when it comes to pros and cons of a game. This is the kind of community I'm looking for.

So, I'd like to join you guys in the guild, if you'll have me. Which server are we going to be on? I heard that it is quite critical that we pick the right server on the first day or we'll have to pay some fee to move to another server. So I'd like to be informed on that too please. =)

I'd want to say that I've played GW1 for a long time and have a lot of experience and knowledge in it but I don't think it would be of any value as this "sequel" is so different from the first game in almost every aspect (even the lore and setting are quite different as far as I can tell. A continuation, maybe). So I just want to say that I'm a casual, laid-back gamer. Having said that, I also take my gaming quite seriously as needed, for example if we're playing in a group I'd perform the role I'm assigned to the best I could in order not to let anyone down. But if we all agree on just having fun then it's all fun and game for me too.

I guess I've done enough rambling for the day. I'd better stop now before I scare you guys off and then I'd be guildless comes head-start day. XD

Hey welcome to the Community Cacheelma! I do believe our server will be Ehmry Bay because that's what it was during the BWEs, but just pay attention to this board for all the Guild Wars 2 stuff because Keen will post the information as it's decided/figured out.

Hey Cacheelma! Welcome to our community.

As Odius said, right now we're set to play on Ehmry Bay.  We haven't found a reason to switch servers yet, but if we do we'll make sure to give plenty of discussion about it here on the forums.

We'd love to have you in our guild.  We're still finalizing all the details for how this branch of our community will work, so now is as good a time as any to get in on the ground floor and help make it something special.

Hello Cacheelma,

Another welcome to the Keen and Graeve community.  I've been with these guys now for 3+ years and I have to say, they have been my favorite people to play with.  I think my main reasons are because the community is not only friendly but very mature.  It's nice talking to others and not hearing all the same "bro" talk  you do in other guild vents.  Plus these guys are a ton of fun to play with and we all try to help one another out in game.

Can't wait to see you in GW2
