SMITE

<< < (2/3) > >>

Keen:
Hi-Rez always comes sooooo close for me. They always seem to miss one or two little details that make a huge difference in the fun factor for me personally.

Global Agenda was almost there, but fell just short.  Tribes is actually fun and far closer to the mark than GA, but something about the map design (flag placement) makes it not feel like Tribes to me.

Hopefully this one is fun.

Horrorshow:
That is a good take on Dota games with the camera placement. Unless I am unaware of another game that previously did it. In which case my apologies.

Khardamon:
Saw this article on Lorehound a couple of days ago, first I'd heard about the game as well:  http://lorehound.com/news/smite-demigods-deities-and-gods-explained/

Read this article the other day... I think it's pretty ridiculous, but thought I'd ask if anyone heard Hi-Rez's position on this.

Keen:
Hi-Rez's opinion is actually pretty legit.

"SMITE includes deities inspired from a diverse and ever expanding set of pantheons including Greek, Chinese, Egyptian, and Norse. Hinduism, being one of the world's oldest, largest and most diverse traditions, also provides inspiration toward deities in our game. In fact, given Hinduism's concept of a single truth with multiple physical manifestations one could validly interpret ALL the gods within SMITE to be Hindu. And all gods outside of SMITE as well. Ponder that for a minute. Anyway, going forward SMITE will include even more deities, not fewer." -Todd Harris, Hi-Rez COO
