I don't know about "desperation" as much as "common sense" and "it's about time". The game is brutal to play with friends if you aren't the same level.
The only think I don't like is I was looking for a way to get a level 80. I don't care about a sparkle mount, save me from leveling hell! ;D
EDIT: Seems to be off to a good start! Servers were down last night. People love sparkly mounts!
