Having fun
« on: February 13, 2012, 08:18:11 AM »
Yes I'm having fun even though I'm doing nothing but farming right now for starting up my crafting skills.  Why am I having fun, because I'm doing what I want to do in the game to further my character, I'm not following boring quests that connect one quest hub to another.  Also everything I do in game, whether it's mining, logging, fishing, swimming, running, jumping, melee or magic furthers my characters stats and abilities.  That's what I like about MMO's that are more sandbox than theme park.

Today I should get my mining to 100 and my next goal is to get my mining mastery to 100, then logging and logging mastery etc...  Before I start crafting weapons/armor I want the dwarf ability that you get at 40 Wisdom that gives your items a bonus.  This way as I work both Armor Smithing and Weapon Smithing, I will also be working True Forge Armor Smithing and Weaponsmithing.

In FFA pvp worlds I like to be self sufficient as I am generally not great at twitch pvp and also this way I can help the clan with my PvE skills as they are still needed in a PvP game.

I found my account and everything.  I still can't do the free trial, though.  The problem I'm having now is the dilemma of whether or not I want to spend money to play.

Update: I actually tried to sub and it won't accept my credit card.  :-\

The plot thickens. Really bizarre that you even found your original account but you don't have the free trial option and it wont accept your card. In this account it shows you having bought the game?

Damage, when I get on today i'll buy/farm 2 portal shards and you can move down to Jeredan if you want. Not far from NPC elf cities and close to a lot of dungeons and whatnot.

We figured out what the problem was for Keen.  Firefox no-script was blocking something on the Darkfall Online page so when I figured that out, Keen not only got his account but got the 14 day free trial.

It was a weird chain of "wtf" moments.

1) Had to log in two places to get it to consider me "logged in".
2) Had to disable noscript.
3) Had to enter credit card info to get the free trial.
