Temporary disruption - tech issues

Well, what a day.

I had some good fun in WoW earlier today and then when I go onto my computer this evening I notice these nasty zigzaging horizontal lines across my monitor, and the resolution is farked.  Needless to say its unusable as is, so time to problem solve.

So I connected my wifes monitor to my computer and the problem didn't go away so I know the monitor isn't the problem.  The next question ill be is it the graphics card.... That will be tougher to check as I tossed my old card when I bought my nvidia 8800.

Could it be a sudden driver issue?  or does it sound like a definite hardware situation?

Either way I won't be in game tonight or likely tommorrow, unless my wife lets me put WoW on her old non gaming rig......

So I haven't gone awol, just experiencing some... technical.... difficulties.

Sounds like a graphics card issue.  It's fried probably.  :-\
