I would say, for me at least, this game is nothing like DF.  I don't think I have ever seen anything quite as hellish as DF's beta/open beta.  Still have yet to try so many things but getting a very good vibe.

Haha you need to play a bit more and then re-visit this comment.

No to mention the territorial control boundaries that come with House building.

True, I have not played much.  I have however almost created my robe and hood of pigskin!  Yes!!!  ::)  I also have that same dreaded feeling of going outside of the city walls yet still must.  I'm seriously thinking of killing soon... ;)

It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes. But the half-wit remains a half-wit, and the emperor remains an emperor.

Hopefully its different enough in important ways. I knows its going to share a lot of Darkfall qualities.  ;)

My point was only that it is in as rough shape as Darkfall was as far as implementation. Its going to be a rough few months and people should go in realizing that. Whether or not MO can hold its subscriber base better then Darkfall is yet to be seen.

Very true Phandy, I would not go into MO expecting the world.  What's ironic is I went in to it expecting a really poor game but find myself very intrigued by it.

The ground work is there to be a very good sandbox game, that is for sure.

It's going to have an interesting political and city building system.

Seeing as how people can build villages and little towns anywhere they want, cities can be moving or clustered together in various locations.

Are you completely insane??? How can you even think of giving positive feedback to potential paying customers in this manner?

This is absolutely insane, ban this individual before it costs ignorant gamers hundreds of dollars of hard earned cash..

insane...again

If you don't like it, that's fine but don't stop by these threads if you're only going to insult others that do. If you'd like to have a rational discussion, we'd be happy to have one with you.

Wait, we don't have to buy the game to play in the beta, do we? The instructions on the account site are a bit ambiguous.

Apparently the servers aren't up yet, but at least I fixed all my patcher/game issues.

(had to download PhysX and set everything to compatibility mode / run as admin)

That's good. Yeah I'm checking every hour or so, still getting the username/password invalid message and I assume that means they ain't up yet.

Should we get together in-game sometime today? We could Haven it up like the good old days.
