Say hello to my Captain!

GraevTheCaptainMeet Graev, my latest LOTRO character. As I said yesterday I want to get back into the PVE aspect of LOTRO and finally make my way to Helegrod and the other end-game dungeons. On Meneldor Captains are needed and liking to be needed coupled with my love for big weapons and armor lead me straight to this decision. When making Graev (haha Graev will probably shoot me for using his name for my character) I went with the older more mature and aged/battleworn gruff look. He’s seen enough battle for ten lifetimes but has answered the call for a hero once more.

Creating him yesterday afternoon didn’t give me much time to progress very far in one day. However, I think I did pretty well getting him to 14. Right now I am working on the quests in the area west of Bree-Town. The Adso’s camp, Ranger Cabin, Rose Thornley, and a few other NPC’s should all last me until about 16. That’s when I plan to hit the Barrow-Downs and the Old Forest.

Doing these quests has been made easier with the company of a few friends I met in Monster Play. Beoarke(Hunter) and Bartlebe(Minstrel) make our fellowship of three a very dynamic trio. Right now I’m taking things very casual and hope to continue to play at this pace while still being efficient and effective with my time. More to come on Graev the Captain!

  • The captain is an excellent choice Keen. Its a pity that the class is limited only to Man but understandable. There were three of us playing last night in a group, and one of us is a captain. We were able to do faily well with the Heal buff that pops on every mob kill.

Good luck and take your time to enjoy it.

  • […] Luckily for me while Monster Playing I made two great friends.  Goretruum and Arke were the only two I really became good friends with in Monster Play, so naturally we always grouped with each other for quests and such.  Over time they began to share the same dissatisfaction with Monster Play and we all decided it was time to roll up characters and take them to 50 so that we could experience pvp from the other side.  I made the announcement in this blog entry here that I had made a Captain and named him Graev (hehe I stole your name Graev!).  Since then I haven’t really been updating you all on much of anything in LOTRO and to be honest I can’t think of why.
