Pictures and Video of Mario Kart Wii

We recorded some footage of Mario Kart Wii for you guys to watch.  Forgive the quality of the video but I had to stand there holding a digital camera since our TV lacks the input necessary to connect to a PC.  If any of you are on the fence debating whether or not Mario Kart Wii is worth the buy we hope that this video (and others soon to come) will help you make your decision one way or another. In the video Graev is at the controls and I’m filming our TV from across the room. The video sorta cuts off at the end because our camera battery died… Anyway, it’s charged now and more videos are coming soon!

And some pictures of my Keen Mii (driving a car that tries to hit the racers in one of the levels) and Graev’s Mii after he wins the cup.

All of the cool kids have Harry Potter Miis.

I’m just not that super excited for Mario Kart Wii because I already have the DS version. There are just too many other triple A games coming out this summer that Mario Kart just kinda gets pushed out of the way.

If you have any interest in it at all I really suggest you think about at least renting it. Although all the Mario Karts share strong similarities each adds something unique. I think Mario Kart Wii does a great job of adding more than any other installment in the series.

I wanna pick this up but I haven’t even got some 4 man Smash Bros going yet since I bought it so I’m gonna hold off a bit until I can get a couple Beer/Smash Bros Weekends down before I get this one going =P

It would be nice if the multiplayer wii-fi was a little more extensive with keeping track of records and what not. I know in Smash bros the options are extremely limited and there is nothing that even keeps track of your wins/losses or a place that rates you against other players. Does Kart have anything better or is it basic as well?

The wi-fi does keep track of some things. I know it’s been keeping track of a race score and a battle score for us. If you win or do well you get points added and if you do poorly you lose points. We will play around with the online mode more to see if they keep track of actual wins/losses/etc.

Cool thats a big improvement over Smash Bros. I hope they take a note from like the last 10 years of PC online play and start creating some ladders systems or something for their wi-fi.
